WHICH INSTRUMENTS CAN BE REPAIRED?

RDS Dental repairs instruments from all manufacturers and brands. This includes instruments from KaVo, Schick, NSK, EMS, Bien Air, MK dent, W&H and Sirona.

CAN IT BE MORE EXPENSIVE THAN THE PRICES LISTED?

No. The whole idea behind RDS Dental is to perform instrument service at fixed prices. That's why we list our prices in advance so you can quickly assess whether it's worth repairing the instrument.

WHAT DOES THE WARRANTY COVER?

RDS Dental provides a 6-month warranty on spare parts replaced during a service inspection. This applies to ball bearings, O-rings, rotor inserts and electrocarbons.

DOES RDS DENTAL USE ORIGINAL PARTS?

RDS uses both original and OEM parts. We do this to ensure high quality at competitive prices. Original parts are purchased from the instrument manufacturer, while OEM parts are purchased directly from the instrument manufacturer's subcontractors. This applies, for example, to many ball bearings and O-rings. All spare parts are of the highest quality, which is why RDS Dental provides a 6-month warranty on replaced spare parts regardless of the cause of the failure.

HOW DOES THE CLINIC SEND INSTRUMENTS FOR SERVICE?

First, a work sheet is filled out, printed and packaged securely with the instruments. The shipment is either sent at your own expense or with a return box from RDS Dental, which is sent as a recipient pays letter. Please note that this type of shipment is at your own risk. Alternatively, the instruments can be sent as an insured shipment with GLS - call 32 21 01 01 and find out more. This service costs 100 kr.

HOW LONG IS THE INSTRUMENT IN SERVICE?

We strive to repair the instrument as quickly as possible. Most often, the instrument is returned within a week of receipt. In some cases and with extended instrument service, it can take up to 2 weeks from receipt to dispatch. Easily follow the service progress of the individual instrument using the web order system.

WHAT IF THE INSTRUMENTS GET LOST IN THE MAIL?

If the instruments are sent by Post Danmark as a "recipient pays" letter, there will be a small risk that the package will be lost in Post Danmark's custody, although we have not experienced this yet. In the event that a shipment is lost in Post Danmark's custody, RDS Dental cannot be held responsible for this.

If you want the package sent with GLS, this can be selected for a shipping surcharge of 100 DKK. If sent with GLS, the package will receive a track & trace number and will be insured for a value of 4,500 DKK. Call 32 21 01 01 and order pickup.

CAN I BE SURE I WILL RECEIVE THE EXACT SAME INSTRUMENT RETURN?

With RDS Dental's web ordering system, the clinic can quickly check whether the serial number on the shipped instrument matches the one received from service.

IS THERE A SURCHARGE FOR WORK ON TOP OF THE PRICE?

No. All prices for service and repairs include labor. Simple and transparent.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN STANDARD AND EXTENDED SERVICE?

For contra-angles, air rotors, surgical instruments, there are two types of service: standard and extended. Standard service includes changing ball bearings, O-rings and cleaning. While extended service includes changing rotor inserts, as well as ceramic ball bearings and electrocarbons where necessary. We cannot decide in advance whether standard or extended service should be performed, this is an assessment made by the service technician.

WHAT DOES IT COST IF NO SERVICE IS PERFORMED?

In the event that our instrument workshop cannot repair an instrument, it will be returned free of charge.
