Which instruments can be repaired?

RDS Dental repairs instruments from all manufacturers and brands. This includes instruments from KaVo, W&H, Sirona, Bien Air, NSK, Faro, SciCan, Schick, EMS, MK dent, Castellini, Stern Weber, Anthos, etc.

Could it be more expensive than the listed prices?

No. Our philosophy is that repairs should be cost-effective. That is why we list our prices in advance so that you can quickly assess whether it is worth sending the instrument for repair. If you wish, we can also prepare an estimate that will be sent for approval by email before the repair.

Does RDS Dental price match?

Yes. Our many years of experience in repairing dental instruments mean that we are confident in price matching. Contact us if you have received an estimate for repairing an instrument cheaper than our quote or list price - we will match the quote and beat it!

What does the warranty cover?

RDS Dental provides a 6-month warranty on spare parts that are replaced during a service inspection. This applies to, for example, ball bearings, o-rings, rotor inserts, gears, electric brushes, etc.

When registering the instruments, we look up the serial number in the system and can immediately see whether the instrument has been in the workshop before and whether it is a warranty case.

The warranty starts from the invoice date.

Does RDS Dental use original parts?

RDS uses both original and OEM parts. We do this to ensure high quality at competitive prices. Original parts are purchased from the instrument manufacturer, while OEM parts are purchased directly from the instrument manufacturer's subcontractors. This applies, for example, to many ball bearings and O-rings. All spare parts are of the highest quality, which is why RDS Dental provides a 6-month warranty on replaced spare parts regardless of the cause of the failure.

How does the clinic send instruments for service?

You can easily order a free shipping label on our website. If you are shipping from Denmark, you can choose GLS or Postnord. We will pay the shipping.

If you are sending more than 5 instruments, we can also offer free pickup with GLS. Call 32 21 01 01 for more information.

How long does it take for the instrument to be repaired?

We strive to repair the instrument as quickly as possible. The instrument is usually returned within a week of receipt. However, if individual spare parts are on backorder, it may take longer.

What if the instruments get lost in the mail?

If instruments are sent for repair with GLS, they are insured up to DKK 4,500. Please contact us on tel. 3221 0101 if higher insurance is required.

We have quite good experiences with GLS and their tracking of shipments, which makes us feel comfortable using their service.

Will labor or spare parts be added to the price?

No. All prices for service and repairs include labor and spare parts. Simple and transparent.‍

What is the difference between standard and extended service?

For contra-angles, air rotors, surgical instruments, there are two types of service: standard and extended. Standard service includes changing ball bearings, O-rings and cleaning. While extended service includes changing rotor inserts, as well as ceramic ball bearings and electrocarbons where necessary. We cannot decide in advance whether standard or extended service should be performed, this first requires an assessment at our workshop.

What does it cost if no service is performed?

In the event that your instrument cannot be repaired, we will notify the clinic by email or phone. You will not be charged for this examination.
